Music Talks

A series of weekly informal talks, accompanied by recordings, intended for the person who enjoys listening to classical music and is interested in finding out more about it. Each weekly talk focuses on a particular piece or pieces from the mainstream classical repertoire for discussion, or on broader areas of interest such as Debussy's piano music, Schubert's songs etc.

Recent subjects for discussion have included :

		Haydn vs. Mozart
		Schubert Piano Sonatas
		Wagner
		Mozart and the Opera

You can join at any time, and it is not necessary to book a complete term : just turn up when you can.
The sessions do not require any homework : other than listening to your music system !

Talks are held every Monday morning during term time from 10:00 am to 12:00 mid day,
with a break for coffee. Admission is £5.00 per session (free of charge to existing HMC pupils who take individual tuition for at least 30 minutes weekly).
